1:13.2	I recall a child named Tilly whom I taught one summer during vacation Bible school.
1:18.8	This sweet girl was 11 years old and had never been inside a church before. She had never even opened a Bible.
1:26.0	While this broke my heart, what pained me the most was that she had never even heard of Adam and
1:30.8	Eve. This foundational building block of faith and basic understanding of creation
1:36.6	was completely missing in her life. A neighbor invited her and brought her to VBS that week
1:42.1	and I remember her hunger for God's word.
1:45.1	She had not only learned the Bible that week, she asked Jesus to be her savior.
1:50.4	Like Tilly, how many people are growing up without knowing their Creator and Redeemer?
1:55.8	The thought frightens me and perhaps you as well.
1:59.8	That week I learned about the fragility of each generation and why it is essential to
2:05.0	share God's word and tell of his wonders. Up to that point I'd never met a
2:09.7	child to whom Christianity was so foreign. Having been raised in the church, I had taken basic biblical groundwork for granted.
2:17.0	This encounter not only opened my eyes, it also opened my heart.
