0:15.8	always been considered a great virtue by spiritual heavyweights like
0:19.9	Augustine, Thomas akempus, and Francis of Assisi.
0:25.0	Why is Patience such an important virtue?
0:28.0	For starters, Patience is one of the nine fruits of the spirit.
0:32.0	In our relationship with God, we might call
0:36.0	patience faith waiting. In the Bible we are exhorted to wait on the Lord. It takes more faith to wait than most of the real life
0:45.4	situations that challenge our walk with God. There are few spiritual disciplines
0:50.4	that will focus our faith like those times when all we can do is
0:54.1	wait on the Lord. When we are praying for something and receiving no answer, God
0:59.7	may be teaching us that there are times when faith waits. We all eventually find ourselves
1:06.2	facing circumstances which are beyond our control. Imagine Paul chained in that awful
1:12.0	prison in Rome.
1:14.0	Would he find and maintain the peace of God if his formula for peace was to
1:18.4	rattle his chains and force it?
1:21.5	Patience is the supernatural fruit of the Holy Spirit that gives us the grace to
1:26.6	accept the things we cannot control. Let's pray now for patience and peace.
1:33.6	God teach us what it means to have faith in silence.
1:37.5	When we face trials that are beyond our understanding,
1:40.8	help us to find peace. Help me be joyful and hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.
1:48.3	You set all things in accordance to your time.
