Hello, this is Eric with the briefest of housekeeping messages for this week's episode.

This episode comes in three parts.

The first part is an introduction.

The second part, a lecture that was filmed years ago, and the third part, I'm walking

through a PowerPoint presentation done yesterday on April Fool's.

Now I would highly recommend that after you get through section one, which is not very

visually dependent, switching to YouTube, where the symbols that are being discussed can

be seen.

It may not make sense to all of you, but I think it will be a richer experience as sections

two and three are targeted at the professional community.

I hope you enjoy it, and I hope that you can listen to it in the spirit that I don't expect

you to understand everything being said, but that there's enough going on thematically

that I think it makes for an interesting story.
