Summary

0:35.0	This one from another one of my favorite classic authors.
0:38.5	It's titled A Piece of Steak, and it's a short story that deals with a boxer named Tom King who is at the end of his career and he's going on hard times.
0:48.0	He manages to land a fight with a young rising star named Sandel who has the advantage of stamina and speed but
0:56.1	lacks the experience that King has. This story was written in
1:00.2	nine at the height of the naturalist movement, which did its best to capture the trials of humanity in the face of social Darwinism, which is a name given to various phenomena which applies biological concepts of natural selection and survival of the fittest in human society.
1:18.0	This can be boiled down to a forward phrase only the strong survive. But from that you can take 50
1:26.1	different roads as to how you're going to apply it in given situations. This
1:30.3	can create some pretty big debates. All humans and animals have a natural tendency to look down upon others in their species.

1:50.2	writers like Jack London back in the day enjoyed taking pot shots at the people who thought they deserved to be at the top of the food chain

2:10.0	you realize that he knew and respected or disrespected all types of people

2:20.2	under some pretty harsh conditions and against all kinds of challenges.
2:25.0	You can sense this in the following story about a good man who is about to face his biggest challenge.
