Hello, friends, Scott Pauley here. Welcome to enjoying the journey. We trust that you and your

family had a most blessed Christmas season, worshiping Christ and rejoicing in the goodness of God to us.

The Lord truly has been so very faithful. Over the last few

weeks, we have re-aired the very first studies that we did with enjoying the journey. Seven

years ago, it's hard to imagine that we're concluding our seventh year of broadcast, and we give God the glory for it.

We trust you've enjoyed these very special Christmas studies.

And in this particular week, we're going to do something just a little different.

I want to share some things with you about the close of the old year and the beginning of the new year.

And I look forward to those studies throughout the week.

Before we launch into a longer study next week,

I wanted to take this particular day, though,

and give you just a personal word, if I may.

May I begin with a word from the word?

Psalm 65, one of the great Psalms of David and a Psalm of prayer, recounts all of the goodness of God, all the mercy of the Lord.

In fact, early on, he praises God that he hears his prayer.

Aren't you glad God hears our prayers?

1:23.3

And that though our sin is great, God is greater.

1:26.6

He even says, iniquities prevail against me. As for our transgressions, God is greater. He even says,

Iniquities prevail against me.

1:32.4

As for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

1:38.2

And we rejoice in God's forgiveness, and the Lord is so merciful to all of us.

Later in this list of praiseworthy things, he makes a beautiful statement. In verse number 11, he says,
