RIP Shannon Spruill aka Daffney, who passed away Wednesday 9/1/21 from suicide. She was only 46 years old. Tonight, we dedicated our entire show to someone who Don Tony was proud to call a good friend for twenty years. In addition to talking about her career, DT shared some personal happy stories about Daffney. Including a few keepsakes. some candid happy video. And you may learn a tidbit or two about Daffney's career in wrestling and beyond.
Our awesome extended family donated close to $500 (which Don Tony will match). This money will go towards either the funeral expenses for Daffney, flowers, or a charity for Brain and Concussion research.
In addition to our tribute to Daffney, there was some very serious discussion about mental health. We talked about many of the contributing factors that lead to severe depression including physical pain, loneliness, the loss of a pet or a relative, bullying, a bad relationship, age, weight, and much more. No medical advice was given. Noone on the show is in the medical field. We're just a extended family who paid tribute to a fallen friend. And we tried to make sense why this tragedy happened. We hope you find this episode helpful in some way.
And WWE, honor Daffney with the Warrior Award and put her in the 2022 WWE Hall Of Fame. Rest in paradise Daffney.
