Finteno Tool joins us to talk about his new book, which tells the history of modern

Ireland in parallel with the author's own life.

I wish people for generations have been voting with their feet and saying, actually, we

We'd rather live in New York than, you know, on a small hill farm in County Mayo.

Julie Oetsuka will tell us about her new novel, The Swimmers, which starts with a large

group at a pool and then turns into the powerful story of a particular mother and daughter.

I really saw the pool as being a stand-in for the world.

It's a kind of a metta place that seemed to capsules quite nasally, just a world that

we could live in.
