Welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk TV. It's a grey day. It is a little bit cooler than it was before. There is going to be a host pipe ban in many parts of the country, even though it did rain quite a lot yesterday. There's another amber warning out there. And for those of you who are trying to get into central London today, there's a big fire outside of London Bridge Station, which might be affecting your

travel plans. We'll be going live to the site of that fire to let you know just how bad it is

or how not bad it is, to let you know how likely it is that London Bridge Station, which is currently

closed, will remain closed for. We're going to be talking about a great many things, including

one supermarket chain, which is apparently offering people food on credit, which is a remarkable move.

Inflation figures going into double figures for the first time in a very long time,

which is unlikely to be helping anybody because a basket of foodstuffs, which has been analyzed by one of the newspapers this morning,

says inflation is actually running at around about 23%.

We're going to be talking about cyclists this morning as well, because finally, it looks as

though we might have a minor victory.

Those of us who have been campaigning for many a year to make sure that cyclists are licensed,

to make sure that they have registered their bicycles, to make sure they are insured,

we have had so many fights, so many issues with so many cyclists who say,

oh, we don't want to be insured, we don't want to be regulated, we don't want to be having to

make registration plates, because that would just disagree with everything that we stand for,

because we stand for freedom, we stand for breaking the rules, we stand to be going through red

lights, we stand for doing whatever the hell we like without ever being held accountable. Well now the jig is up, ladies and gentlemen,

because cyclists are going to be made. It looks like to have registration plates, to have

licenses, and to have identification on their vehicles. Because let's face it, there are more

and more cyclists on the road and they need to be properly schooled

in what to do and how to be responsible and if they do have an accident, they need to be held

to account, all of which currently does not happen.
