Hi, Dr. Laura, thank you for speaking with me. I am 46 years old and I'm having a problem

with my one of my younger siblings.

There's four of us.

I'm the oldest of four.

Three of us are contributing members of society

and basically follow your rules and all get along.

One brother has ADHD and I don't know some kind of undiagnosed mental illness, I don't know what,

and has had a lot of problems growing up and recently lost his housing is now living with my parents two hours away.

The rest of the siblings really can't get along with this brother.

My parents can really hardly get along with the brother, but's living with them now they're trying to rescue him anyway whatever

so on Halloween my parents normally come up we do trick-or-treating with all the grandkids and all that

and now my parents don't want to come

unless said brother also comes.

The rest of us don't get along with him.

Yesterday I spent a lot of time talking about you can make any damn choice you want you

have to be willing to accept the consequence and once you say you're willing

to accept the consequence so be it so be it you're not going to see your parents

on Halloween so be it okay it's their choice they're desperate and a bit ignorant that they think they're going to make somehow a difference if they don't leave him home for their
