0:09.6	So what I put up for the gathering room topic today, I call it the one word recipe for inner peace.
0:18.2	You know, as a as of self-help author, you're always looking for
0:22.3	catchier ways to get to inner peace. And this is one of the catchiest I've found. It started
0:27.5	when my dear friend Kate Groch from South Africa was staying with us. She and her beautiful
0:33.9	daughter, Myel, were staying with us. And she told me about a speech by Maria
0:38.9	Ressa, who is a Philippina journalist and Nobel Prize winner. She uncovered a lot of corruption
0:46.8	in the government of the Philippines a few years back. And in response to her journalism,
0:53.6	the government basically tried to kill her online.
0:58.1	They put out a disinformation campaign where it was just lies, lies, lies, lies.
1:03.4	They said she was trying to start a government coup.
1:06.3	They said all kinds of, it was very crazy.
1:09.4	Oh, ha.
1:10.1	Ah, I am live on Facebook now. Yay. No. Okay. Forget the text. Oh, it is. Hi, Facebook
1:18.6	people. If you're arriving, we haven't started because we were waiting for you. But I'm talking about Maria Ressa,
1:24.6	who is a journalist in the Philippines, who won the Nobel Prize after uncovering
1:29.3	unsanctioned illegal killings by the government in the Philippines. And then they tried to kill her,
1:36.6	but they used sneaky ways. They went online and they bombarded people with negative information
1:42.1	about her. And they just made stuff up.
1:45.2	So they said she was trying to stage a government coup that she was.
1:49.9	And then they just said things like, oh, she's not pretty enough to be right.
1:53.1	You know, all the things that drive you crazy.
