A little over a year ago, a writer named Carol Dawson reached out and told me about an unsolved

murder in her hometown, Corsicana, Texas.

Carol introduced me to the name Shelly Watkins,

a young mom who was found dead in the Trinity River in 1993.

A lot of people around Corsicana think they know who killed Shelly, but they're too afraid to come forward.

The case has been on hold for the last 30 years.

That's where Carol and I come in.
