I mean, in some ways, in some ways on nights like this, Jordan, I'm happy to have a podcast.

In some ways, I'm like, oh, gosh, what are we, what are we doing here?

My name's Jeff Gluck. I'm writer for the athletic. This is Jordan Bianchi. We're, we're like

moments away from just having watched the end of the NASCAR also race. Usually we, you know,

we always record after the race, Jordan, but usually we take our time, digest a little bit of the post race comments we watch the winners press conference not this time we fired it up right away right in the heat of the emotional

moment of what we just saw how's it going there jordan well the right guy won the race which is a good

thing but there's all sorts of questions about did should he have won though

i mean should naskar i mean take a step back from this and that yes blaney should have won this

race he had this race virtually won everything a little mistake with the window net but he also

drove the final lap with a partially secured window net, which to me

seems like a very big safety hazard.

Well, listen, okay, there's so much to unpack here.

So obviously, I mean, clearly, clearly NASCAR waived their own rule or ignored their own safety

rule about the window net being detached. Like, I'm pretty sure, I mean, I don't know if this is

going out too much of an exaggeration, but 100% of the time, since I've been covering NASCAR

in the last almost 20 years, if somebody's

window net is not attached, it's a black flag you have to come in. Certainly, if they saw

it under caution, which everybody did, that your window not was, window net was not secured

in any other circumstance at all, they would have made you come down. Now, NASCAR essentially caused this situation
