There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space

and as timeless as infinity.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow,

between science and superstition,

and it lies between the pit of man's fears

and the summit of his knowledge.

This is the dimension of imagination.

It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

The Twilight Zone companion, Mark Zickery says of the episode that we're going to be talking about tonight,

that it is the last of four Charles Beaumont episodes from season one but also that it's the weakest so to put

that in perspective so far we've seen perchance to dream ele, long live Walter Jameson and now a nice place to visit.

So when you list them like that I would probably agree.

What Mark Zickery also says is that basically it's just one long one liner,

which again you can't really argue with it is basically just a set

up with a payoff at the end and when you stack it up against you know for example the episode

we discussed last time the big tall wish there's so much going on in that episode and it's full of Rod Sailing's poetic dialogue

and that kind of thing.

Whereas this episode,

a nice place to visit,

is pretty straightforward.

It's an A to B story.

But is that such a bad thing?
