Hi, I'm R Rameen-Manus and welcome to the Mosaic Podcast.

We've been in a series called A New You.

And today we're going to focus on essentials, on how to set a new standard for who you are.

One of the great challenges when you become a person of faith

is you have so many expectations from so many people

and you're not sure what you have to do,

what you're supposed to do,

and even start with what you want to do,

or what you used to do.

And one of the things that you discover as you live your life is that the more you live a life of obligation,

the more impossible it is to actually see that through.

That's why so many times we feel frustrated and we find ourselves failing over and over again.

The changes that Jesus want to make, they come from the inside out. They're essential to who we are.

They come out of our essence. So I want us to dive in together on these essentials and begin to see how God will create a new standard of who we are,

not by what other people tell us, but what we feel from our deep intrinsic core of who we want to become.

Let's dive in together to a new you.
