Greetings and welcome to a Monday edition of the shotgun start. It is September 20th. Andy, how are we doing?

Brendan, I'm gruntled. Victory Monday. I'm very gruntled. Victory Monday all around. Browns, Bears, coming off W's heading into a Titanic Week 3 clash, which we won't be able to go to.

You have quarterback issues for the better, quarterback, the good kind of issues. I think, I don't know, I didn't find out how that all shook out.

How many of us are going to have in next week? Someone was tweeted at me, like, the Browns got to be concerned now, because Matt Nagy will have a full week to really game plan for having fields back there.

I was like, oh, is that a good thing or a bad thing? I mean, based on what I hear from Bears fans, I don't know, but congrats on your win over the bangles.

You got three picks in a row, and then hung on there. Just barely hung on there. Browns were not. The headline for the Browns was, the Browns were lucky Tyrod Taylor got hurt.

It was like, oh, that's not good. I mean, if they needed an injury to Tyrod Taylor to win, that's not confident in inspiring.

So, I'm the one nonetheless. Max home of one. Is that kind of victory Monday? A colleague of ours? Former colleague of ours? Former. Former. He decided the media world, the rough and tumble media world wasn't for him.

Couldn't hang in the media world. Just decided to win PGA Tour events instead, because he couldn't cut it in the media world.

Just shows not everybody can do this job. But new number one player, number one player in the world, Max Homa. Unfortunately, won't be on the Ryder Cup team, number one player in the world.

This is like the peak week for your bit, right? Because there's zero, there's only 72 holes of substantive evidence upon which these rankings, which you tout in mocking Lee.

I think this is the peak for this bit. The peak week is the safe way, right? Number one player in the world. Does that make, what is it, Mav McNeely number two? Mav McNeely? I mean, I guess we'll get to have in a minute.

Well, according to Eddie, Eddie Batchek, I could never pronounce his last name. Sorry, Eddie. I'll never learn. This is the 69th. Number one ranked player in the world. Max Homa. How many are there in the actual AWGR? Like 18, maybe less than 20, I would get, right?

I'm not an expert on the AWGR. I'm, I don't like to spread myself to thin. I like to specialize in one ranking system. And that's the better. Okay, I apologize. Yeah, this is a good week for that bit. Congrats to Max Homa. Obviously, what a back nine, what a weekend, 65, 65 is no joke. And that course was so firm. It was very firm. It was very firm. Phil was talking about that on the week on Fridays. Like you like can't.

It is so firm and fast. Like if you miss the fairway here, like you are hitting out of the rut. Like there's no way you're going to hold any of these greens. Like you have to be able to come out of the fairway. That was great. I mean, I don't know. Just a good time of year to go to Napa. It's probably always every time a year is a good time of year to go to Napa, maybe. But yeah, Max Homa, he, I was like, I've been reading, like, sort of like DFS analysis of him. There was like people were picking him this week. Like his punting became like a trotious.

Down the end, like just like losing just absurd amounts of strokes on the green, which not because he was like all of a sudden a bad putter. Like that's somehow the way sometimes away or maybe it was bad for whatever a few weeks.

But like that's the kind of thing that can swing back quickly at quicker, right? If you lose approach play, if you're bad at approach play, that can kind of be sticky.

And you might need to look for things for a while. Whereas we know putting him get fickle, you can kind of get in a slump.

And you can snap out of it quickly. And so I know there was some like wrist stuff that BMW was concerned about, but immediately here he is right back back to first start of 58 events, whatever there are this year, more events than there are weeks, and he's number one in the world. It was a awesome back nine.
