Remember when I said that Charles Lindberg

did a lot of boneheaded things during the search for his kidnapped son?

Well, let me give you a primo example.

He instructed the bank that was putting together the ransom money,

the money that John Condon was going to give to Cemetery John,

to make sure they kept no record of the serial numbers of the bills.

That way, the money couldn't be traced.
