Hello, it's Ben Burrell here, and this is not a new episode of Bob Dylan album by album.

There will be a new season next year, though, and early next year too.

I've also been working on a new podcast that I think you might like.

It's called Long Player, and it's essentially the same format as this one,

except it doesn't just focus on music from his Bobness.

Although there are still quite a few Bob Dylan references in pretty much every episode.

I refuse to stop talking about him.

It's a little bit different though in the fact that it concentrates on a different album

and a different artist each episode.

For example, episode one is out right now.

It's on The Clash and London Calling

a brilliant album. Here's a clip from it. The instrumentation of this tune is another high

point on a record full of sonic high points. It sounds like it's almost entirely double-tracked,

like it was recorded twice and then put together in sync. The drums are in fact the same drum line just double-tracked, listen to how big it sounds.

There's more double tracking on the vocals, except here they are actually two different takes.

It gives the track a freshness as Jones duets with himself.
