Have you ever found yourself only wanting the things in life that you know are actually harmful for you?

Maybe it's as simple as craving sugar, or maybe it's wanting a relationship with somebody who isn't your spouse, or possibly it is wanting to

feed an addiction that you know is robbing you of your sleep and your health and your wellness.

I think if anybody answers that question, no. I would question your honesty. I believe that is

a struggle that we all deal with in human nature.

And you know, God knows that we face this struggle and we feel this way.

And because of that, he described what he wants to do for us. God said, for this is the covenant that I am making

with you. I will put my laws into your minds, and I will write my ways on your hearts. And I will be your

God and you will be my people.

And you won't need to teach each other telling each other know God, know this about God.

For everybody from the least to the greatest will know me already.

God wants to write his plans for your life on the inside of you, on your thoughts

and on your desires, in your mind and in your heart. You know that God isn't surprised or

threatened or intimidated by our desires that seem contrary to his plans for us.

You know, he doesn't gasp and open his mouth.

With that in mind, take a moment to talk to God about your true genuine struggles with desires that seem harmful to you.

Go ahead.

He wants to hear it.

Have a conversation. God, as your good heavenly father, cares so much about you, that he has plans to write on the inside of you, to change

your desires and to change your thoughts. Right now, will you ask God, give him permission

to say, God, would you change my desires?

God, would you give me desires for good things instead of bad things?
