Is Western civilization in decline?

The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive.

President Trump gave a controversial speech in Poland back in July 2017,

in which he claimed that Western civilization faces a

profound existential threat. For conservatives in America, it was a triumph. It's rare for a

president to, in these postmodern times, or any European leader, any Western leader to make

an unapologetic defense of Western culture and civilization.

So I was surprised.

That's Victor Davis Hansen.

He's a classic scholar and contributor to the National Review.

And he's been warning for years that the most important problem in the world today is the decline of Western civilization.

So in Poland, the president agreed and asked what we're going to do about it.

Do we have the confidence in our values to defend them at any cost?

Most people say Western civilization is unique or it's exceptional, but we've done this and

we've done that.

There was no apologies there.

It was sort of, we can be good without being perfect.

So our question this hour, does Western civilization need saving?

And if so, from what and who?

Do we have the desire and the courage to preserve our civilization in the face of those who would subvert and destroy it?
