0:09.6	It's not always easy to set aside moments for ourselves and to connect with God, but you have done it.
0:17.4	As we think about Jesus, the new creation, we're going to turn to a verse. The verse is in Isaiah
0:24.1	chapter 43, verses 18 to 19. Listen to these words that were spoken. God said, forget about what's
0:34.2	happened. Don't keep going over old history. Be alert. Be present. I'm about to do
0:41.4	something brand new. I'm making a road through the desert and rivers in the badlands. This scripture
0:50.7	is a verse about Jesus. It was a prophecy written hundreds of years before Jesus was
0:56.9	born. But God declared that because of Jesus, because of his life, what he would do in each one of us,
1:05.5	that we could forget about the old and we could be excited about the new.
1:13.9	Take a moment right now.
1:15.6	Think about what you're excited about in this new year.
1:18.8	Anything specific?
1:22.6	Now with that in mind, take a minute in your own words to thank Jesus,
1:35.3	that he gives us the ability to be excited for the future, and that future is possible because of who he is.
1:47.3	Our verse gave us some very clear instructions at the beginning. It says, forget about what's happening and don't keep going over old history.
1:56.1	Forget about what's happened.
1:58.0	Don't keep going over what used to happen.
2:03.7	Together, we're going to take a moment,
2:11.1	take three deep breaths. And when we breathe in, we're going to believe that Jesus has something new for us. And when we breathe out, we're going to release what has happened before. We are going to actually use our
2:20.1	breath to let go of old history. So let's breathe in together. Believe that God is going to do
2:28.6	something new and breathe out and let go of the old.
