In March 2020, forensic detective Randy Schiefer became ill.

He was feeling very tired and nauseous and he had lost his sense of smell.

He visited his doctor and asked to be checked for COVID,

but the doctor refused saying COVID was not in their area.

The doctor told Randy he probably had flu and should go home and rest.

Two days later, Randy was in hospital and the medical staff had induced a coma and intubated him.

36 hours later, he had multiple near-death experiences.

And so in this episode, I'm talking to Randy about what happened.

Oh, my goodness.

I'm thank you so much for having me.

So can you tell us how this all started for you how did you get into that position where you had a no-death

experience my experience was not that long ago if everybody remembers in

early 2020 the world got hit with a terrible pandemic from COVID. And I didn't escape it. COVID found me.

I became very ill. I was home trying to get better. I didn't know I had COVID initially. I just thought I had the flu. I was trying at home taking all these home revenues and trying to get better. I didn't know I had COVID initially. I just thought I had the flu.
