0:51.0 | Well, this may be a little obscure. You've read No Doubt, David Daniel's book on Tyndale. |
0:58.0 | Indeed. The Yale biography. I read it twice. It was so loaded. |
1:02.0 | It's intriguing. Tyndale, this should be a movie. |
1:05.0 | Yeah, no. Yeah, it should be a series of movies. |
1:08.0 | But there are so many fascinating moments. I mean, obviously I love the fact that God revealed his word. |
1:16.0 | But I also love the fact that he protected it. |
1:19.0 | And I don't think we give Tyndale enough credit for basically deciding under the spirit's power |
1:29.0 | that I'm going to translate the New Testament into English, which was a crime. |
1:35.0 | And he was chased out of England and he went to Europe and you know the story. |
1:40.0 | He's over in Europe and he's working on it and working on it. |
1:43.0 | And eventually as the story ends, he has discovered he's uncovered in Antwerp by a guy named Henry Phillips |
1:52.0 | who they've been looking for him and they can't find him. They finally found him. |
1:55.0 | They take him to Brussels and they burn him at the stake for translating the Bible into the English language. |
