I thought this might actually be a different kind of walk than what is going to transpire over the next 10 minutes, but I can be flexible.

0:11.0

I can be flexible.

Hi, I'm Dave. Welcome to Walking is Fitness. Today's 10-minute walk, even though it's different than what I had anticipated, it'll begin right after this.

0:29.6

Good morning.

0:31.6

All right, I really thought I was going to be on the other side of the fence.

0:34.6

Didn't realize that I was actually too early to take the

0:39.3

kind of walk that I had anticipated for today, but as they say, it is what it is. I've got, I think

0:46.0

this is iron and iron fence. On the right side of me, I'm walking along Oglethorpe Avenue in Savannah,

0:51.4

Georgia, day two. The Airbnb where we are staying is just across the street.

1800s, the 19th century. I guess they called those row homes at the time, made brick a lot of history and on the other side of

Oglethorpe avenue the side where I'm walking now is Colonial Park and Colonial Park is actually

1:21.5

1:30.3

And there are pathways through the cemetery and scattered throughout the cemetery are

1:37.3

some markers that indicate, I guess folks who are buried here, folks of note who are buried here, this cemetery was started

1:47.4

maybe the late 1700s, early 1800s, been here for quite some time. Anyhow, it is not open yet.

1:55.9

So instead of today's walk happening through the cemetery, it's going to be happening around the cemetery

2:03.2

all right so I thought this took up the entire city block and I guess I was wrong because I'm not

2:11.4

at the end of the block and I've reached the end of the cemetery now there's a building

2:15.9

oh this is the Savannah Police Department.

2:20.0

All right, so let's see how far this.

2:22.4

So I'm no longer walking beside the cemetery, but I'm going to turn here.
