happy these days? Well, here, the weather is getting better in New England, and so my husband and I have been taking these long walks by the river.

We have to have our masks on because that's required now where we live,

but there's something about the water that gives us a sense of calm and normalcy.

And now it's more important than ever to find something that brings you a sense of peace.

That's what this week's moment of kindness is about.

Kelly Brooks of Boston is familiar with isolation.

In 2014, she was diagnosed with a neurological condition that made it difficult for her to work or leave the house.

So, she turned to something that brought her a lot of comfort, her love of reading.

And now that more of us are struggling with

Since social distancing began, I have been opening my home at a social distance by Zoom with something I created called Curative Shorts.

And I wanted to provide a bridge of imagination and inspiration

with short stories and community

during these times of challenging change.

My idea was to use the power of story and connection

to help people to move out of the fight or flight response and boost their immune systems to help fight the virus.

So every week up to 10 people gather by Zoom with me on either Friday or Saturday night after reading a fictional

short story and answering questions about it during their week and then we
