And I hope it's getting warmer and sunnier where you are, because it's been a lot nicer here in Boston and it's definitely helping my mood.

Now I can work from my porch and get a little bit of sunshine in my day.

So I'm here to share with you this week's moment of kindness.

with this week's story.

So I'm a classroom aide in a third grade classroom and over the last couple weeks we've been hosting new meetings with the students to allow them a chance to say connected with each other and us, their teachers.

This week we read them a story over Zoom and the message of the story was about being kind, no matter what's happening in the world or what outside influences are telling you to do.

And afterward I led a discussion with the students about how this message can be applied to our current situation and what we're living through.

And stress the importance of always trying to kindness rather than hate, even when we find ourselves in challenging times.

And then we gave the students the opportunity to share their own ideas

about how they can spread kindness right now from their own homes. I was

completely astounded by the ideas the kids came up with from sidewalk talk

messages to making personalized gifts like pillows for their friends

to yelling hello and we can get through this from across the street to friends and

strangers alike even cutting out hearts and writing messages like share love on them and

posting them in their windows and around their house, these kids were just full

of kind ideas.

And I knew I had good students before this,

but I was just completely struck in this moment
