Hey everyone. This is Yasminammer, producer and co-host of Kind World. I'm sure I'm not the only

one who feels this right now, but in this moment, a small act of kindness can mean the world. The other day a friend of mine dropped off a plate of one of my favorite desserts at my doorstep.

And we haven't seen each other in a while, and we don't really know the next time we'll see each other, but I can't tell you how much that surprise meant to me.

I think that at a time when we're all dealing with isolation and uncertainty, a simple reminder that someone is thinking about you is that much more powerful.

I want to share another good reminder of that with you.

This week's moment of kindness is from Anna Baumgart in Davy, Florida.

I am an orchestra teacher in South Florida and during the quarantine I've been teaching on Zoom. I have over

150 students who range from third through 12th grade and this has been kind of a rough time for a lot of

families as I know but music seems to be the thing that keeps the kids going in some cases. So while I do have some

students who kind of are too much is on their plate for them to go ahead and do

their music lessons.

I have a group that's been going really strong

since we were in quarantine.

And we get together at least once or twice a week and I give them extra help sessions and

on Saturday my husband told me that we had an electrician coming and that I couldn't help them with their lessons so I was

kind of disappointed because I know a lot of them look forward to that extra help.

Well he had actually been in contact with one of the moms who decided to put together a concert for me on my

lawn. So my husband brought me outside and there were seven of my students in masks kind of social distance from each other with their music stands and they all played me all you need is love by the Beatles.

Of course I started crying and it was amazing.

It was probably the best thing that's happened to me all year and definitely the best thing since

the quarantine started.
