And now for a moment of clarity.

A middle finger to the United Nations.

That's how one headline described Donald Trump's speech to the UN General Assembly this morning,

which at times sounded more like a campaign rally than an address to the world on stage,

or to the world stage. Trump called climate change, a con job, questioned whether the United Nations should even exist, and lectured foreign

leaders about immigration, even telling them, quote, your countries are going to hell.

Just hours later, after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodomir

Zelensky, Trump completely shifted his stance on Russia's war, now saying he thinks Ukraine

could win back its territory and return to its original borders. So I think Tom Nichols,

who we had on the program earlier, really captured the truth of those

remarks about Ukraine because we have watched this president flip-flop all over the place on an issue

that is too important to not have a principled stance on. And this is what Tom Nichols writes.

The only way the world can know if the president meant what he said today is if he comes back to Washington and puts America firmly back on the side of NATO and Ukraine

with money and material. Until then, it's just talking. I feel like, Michael, you always remind us of this.

Don't watch for what he says. Watch for what he does. And that's the critical piece here because as we were talking today on our, you know, as we're preparing for the show,

I was like, this is Donald Trump Riffin. He's just out here saying stuff. And part of it is he didn't get the kind of reaction from Vladimir Putin from the state visit a few weeks ago that he wanted.

And so now he's pouting.

This is his former pouting.

So he's going to say to Zelensky, oh, yeah, you should have your original board.

Donald Trump doesn't really care one or the other.

He's just trying to figure out the next level of the transaction.

And that's why I tell people when he's out here saying this stuff, everybody gets all excited
