I think we've been told what lies ahead.

We've seen some of the footprints that will lead to immigration policy and national security policy.

So now the question is who's going to stand on the line and do something about it.

Do something about it.

How the government, for instance, deals with trans folks is more amenable to unilateral applications of executive authority.

Immigration, as Jose Diazbo-Arts was saying, temporary protective status is given and taken by presidents.

That is something that is... So it's important, I think, as these come through, we'll get a lot of them,

but we're distinguishing between areas that are essentially press releases or essentially

propaganda and areas of genuine and immediate material effects on people?

Yeah, I think that's very important to note because the reality of it is the president does have,

before we look at the power that they have consumed since 9-11 in other areas of our of our lives. They do have a lot of

innate power. I mean, the framers specifically wanted to vest that power, such as it is,

in that executive. It was the closest thing they could get to a king without actually

offending people by having a king.

Having said that, though, I think it's important to note that what this administration is going

to do with executive powers, despite the irony that during the Obama years and the Biden years,

but certainly during the Obama years, Republicans just lost their stuff

over the executive actions that were taken by that administration.
