And now for a moment of clarity.

It's hard to know what to believe from either side in this case.

There have been so many different pronouncements over the last several weeks.

Maybe we can regard that as encouraging, that maybe they're talking and maybe they're getting closer to an agreement.

Let's hope so. I don't have confidence that that's the case, but let's hope that it is.

You know, I think that we're in a space where we have a president who just doesn't have a fundamental understanding of what he stepped into.

And I think it largely emanates from, if I really put a pin on it, Venezuela.

Because Venezuela, he looked at Venezuela and how that went.

Oh, we got Maduro, oh, we got, you know, we did this, the ships went in, we got the oil, we're making

money, it's a good day in the neighborhood. And, and I know that's not what Marco Rubio and

HECF and others told him. At least I would hope that they would tell him this is not going to be

easy. There's a little thing called the Strait of Hormuz.

There's a little thing called Iran and how they have functioned for 47 years against the U.S.

So what is it then that seemingly U.S. policy doesn't get about this moment?

I get Trump as sort of dictating turn.

But you're meaning Trump, there's nothing in this government that can move the needle

on this conversation beyond where it is right now that Trump understands and can listen

to.

Because right now, I don't, if I'm Iran, there is no incentive to come back to the table to talk about anything.

I mean, I've shut down the straight, right?

I control the price of oil.
