I was just chatting with a friend of mine who is looking to get to a specific end goal.

He's building something,

he's building a specific type of business,

and things aren't quite working out

the way that he's planned. The right people aren't kind of working out in their

positions. He thought there'd be certain funding. He thought the timeline would be different

And look, when things in our lives go against our expectation or the blueprint that we have, this works in this order, at this timing,

specifically this way, it can be very frustrating, it can be scary. We can start to doubt ourselves. We can think,

is this really for me? Am I doing it wrong? Why am I messing up? What's happening?

And we want to throw our hands up in the air and give up.

Look I get it if you've accomplished anything almost worth accomplishing in your life

you'll know that it is a winding road, right? It is very, very rarely a straight path.

no straight line, not one, exists in nature. So of course I listen to my friend, I let him rant, I hear it, and what I come back to is this truth.
