0:42.0	things to do both with the events and police brutality and institutionalized racism and media that
0:50.0	does not because I feel like that balance is important to strike. But also we wanted to make this
0:57.6	a brief podcast because we didn't want to leave anybody stranded, but we also wanted to emphasize
1:03.0	that neither of us are black people and it's very important in this time to make room and listen to
1:12.2	other people's stories. So we decided to strike this balance between having a platform and being
1:19.5	there for you our podcast community and also trying to make space for messages that are very
1:26.9	important to get across. Joanna, how have you been doing this weekend? I mean, you know, like
1:35.9	I texted a couple people being like, hi, I think you and like most of the people in message
1:40.5	be back asking me how I was, I was like, oh, you know, bad and weird, right? Like that's bad and weird
1:46.2	various versions of that like because there's people who are, you know, bad and weird with a note of
1:52.8	angry or bad and weird with a note of sorrowful or despairing or whatever it is. There's a lot of
1:58.3	feelings going on and yeah, I just want to say that like a reason that Dave and I who are not black
2:04.4	people are here talking to you right now is that I know that like something a really good friend of
2:11.9	I always says about sort of being there for others is you can't pour from an empty vessel
2:18.6	which means you need to recharge your batteries in order to keep giving at the at the level that
2:25.0	you want to give to to a fight to activism to engaging in in the conversations that are going on.
