Hey everyone, producer Brett here. And I just want to thank you, first of all, for your patience and

understanding as Double Threat took a longer than expected winter break. Obviously, the LA fires

shut down the Forever Dog Studios for about a week and a half. So that was a big old obstacle to get

passed. We've also been retooling the show in certain ways for 2025 and needed some time to figure all of that out.

And on that note, I wanted to share some news with you, which is that I'm taking on a new position at Forever Dog this year that comes with some new responsibilities.

And because of that, plus the ongoing ongoing ever-growing responsibilities of being

a parent I had to make some some really hard decisions about my workload for this year and

I decided that I need to step down as the producer of double threat this obviously was an incredibly hard decision to make because it's been one of the great

joys of my life to be part of this show and to work so closely with Tom and Julie over

the last five years.

It's been a thrill getting to know so many of you and being part of the world of this show.

It's it's it's just been the best and it's changed my life. It's changed my life in so many

incredible ways and I will forever be grateful to Tom and to Julie and to all of you for

for giving me this opportunity.

And because of that, because I love this show so much, the last thing I wanted to do was to try and stay on as a producer, only to half-ass it and give it less time and less effort

than it deserves.

Because producing double thread is like producing any podcast. It's a real

odds and ends kind of job. It requires late hours, weekend hours, and the sad but true fact that I

had to accept is that I just don't have the same freedom in my schedule that I used to to make that

kind of a job work.

But I am not disappearing off the face of the earth.

This is not a funeral.
