Hello, friends. All three of us are here because we have some news that we want to share with you,

and then we're going to try and preemptively answer some questions that we think you might have.

So I'm just going to rip the Band-Aid off. We've decided that it's time to end the podcast.

There are numerous reasons for this, a few of which will touch on in just a moment, but these next three episodes, which are going to roll out over the next two months, that's going to be the final stretch, at least for now.

And more on that in just a second.

God, I feel like mom and dad sitting the kids down to tell them we're getting a divorce.

It's not your fault.

I've been thinking that all day, but like your fathers and I still love you very much,

but we're not going to live in the same podcast house anymore.

So listen, we know this will probably come as a shock to many of you. And for others, I don't know,

maybe you've been able to read the tea leaves a little bit. And this isn't so surprising.

But either way, whether you've been with us from the beginning or you just recently discovered

the show, we know a lot of you are going to be upset and disappointed by this news.

So I'm going to tell you a little bit about what went into this decision. I'll let Donna and

Carlos add anything that they'd like to say on top of that. And then we'll wrap this up by

explaining what this is going to mean on a practical level for the back catalog of episodes,

the Patreon page,

all the rest of that stuff. So the truth is, I think all three of us have been aware for quite

some time that we had fewer episodes ahead of us than we did behind us. Eight years is a really

long time. Certainly a lot longer than any of us thought we'd be doing this. We are so proud of that run. We're amazed at how the show has evolved and the community that's sprung up around it. This has surpassed our expectations in every possible regard. And we're so grateful to have had this experience with all of you.

This is definitely not a spur of the moment decision. This is something we have been discussing

for a while. I think life has been pulling each of us in different directions for a lot longer
