Today's talk comes from Pastor Louis Giglio, and it's a continuation of a series entitled Powerful.

If you have a Bible, have Scripture at night where in Acts chapter 17,

that should get at least one amen, because we're not in Acts chapter 2 anymore.

Praise God. So we're going to fast forward a little bit tonight to Acts 17.

And what we're going to learn even in a quick glance at Acts 17 is that the story of Jesus is moving out.

The Holy Spirit came so that we could move out in supernatural power with the story of resurrection,

and we could take that story to every single person on planet Earth.

This is what Acts is all about.

And you get the thumbnail version of Acts just by looking at the little headers between the verses.

So look as you're heading into chapter 17 above the first verse, it says, in Thessalonica.

So Paul and Silas have arrived in a town that you can visit now in Greece.

Thessalonica, they've arrived.

Trouble breaks out because people are opposed to this story of Jesus, so they move on to Berea.

So the next little header you see, now Paul and Silas are in Berea.

Trouble breaks out in Berea, so they send Paul to the coast to the city of Athens.

And so now Paul's in Athens.

And what is powerful about this to me, this has just absolutely blown my heart up this week,

is that this story of Jesus, it started in a very obscure upper room,

in pretty much a remote city, an outpost of the Roman Empire, in Judea,
