This is Season 6, Pondering the Psalms.

This week we are meditating on Psalm 3.

The theme of this Psalm is trusting God for protection and peace during times of adversity. There are so many ways we long

for deliverance and protection. Are you carrying a broken or grieving heart? Are you experiencing

a spirit of discouragement, fear, or sadness? Or is there a burden you are carrying for someone or

someplace you dearly love? We need to sit still long enough to process these feelings in the

presence of the Holy One.

God sees you.

He sees what you are going through and what you are feeling.

The Psalms give us words to express these emotions.

And Psalm 3 reminds us that God's presence is a protective shield around us and the lifter of our heads. So look up, dear ones. When your thoughts turn toward God, know that God is thinking of you and is the one drawing you to his heart.
