The Christian Church celebrates seven distinct seasons in the church calendar year.

The season begins with Advent,

then Christmas,

Epiphany,

Lent, Easter,

Pentecost,

and ordinary time.

In our daily lives,

most of us keep track of activities

and special events with a calendar.

Throughout the centuries, the Church has kept track of special days, feasts, and seasons too.

Each season plays an important role in our faith journey as we celebrate the gift of our

salvation through Jesus.
