I'm amazed of how the word luck and lucky has made its way into our daily vocabulary now. Amazing.

But there is even a worse side to luck and luckiness. The superstitious people sometimes feel that

they are cursed by bad luck. You know what I'm talking about?

You've seen them. Some actually become so irrational about their superstition and the fear of

bad luck. Not long ago, I read a story about this irrationality, a house burglar.

He said to his partner in crime, he said, the police is here.

You better jump out of the window.

And his partner in crime said, but we're on the 13th floor.

The burglar said, this is not a time for superstition.

I even loved the father who said to his son when he asked, Dad, what is luck?

And the father said, luck is something that enables the other fellow to succeed where you have failed.
