He is making his contempt for our democracy and its institutions and its people crystal clear once again.

While President Joe Biden honored Veterans Day by laying a wreath

and paying tribute to those who sacrificed for our country,

the ex president said this.

We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascist, and the radical

left thugs that live like vermin

within the confines of our country

that lie and steal and cheat on elections

and we'll do anything possible.

They'll do anything whether whether legally or illegally, to destroy America

and to destroy the American dream. The real threat is not from the radical right. The real threat is from the radical left and it's growing every day every single day.

The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, engraved than the threat from within.

Our threat is from within.

So you know we have a high bar when we show that to you today it's important and here's why an

ex president who sought to overturn American democracy claims in a speech like that in front of

his supporters that Americans right here at home

pose a greater threat to our country than any of our adversaries abroad and

describes his political opponents as quote vermin,

it naturally leads to comparisons to other

authoritarian leaders.
