It is hellish out there, ladies and gentlemen.

I'm told that up and down the country, there's torrential rain, there's flooding, there's

railways that aren't working properly due to the rain, there's car traffic jams all over

It's a bit expensive to work from home and let's all come back to work.

And so nobody can actually get to work because there's more people than there are trains.

There's more people than there are spaces on the road.

And here we all are back at work and yet again the system doesn't seem to be able to cope.

Coming up this morning, we've got plenty to talk about. The Scottish independence vote has just been told that you can't have one, basically. There is no referendum. Supreme Court literally

minutes ago has just ruled that Scotland cannot have a second referendum on independence.

We'll find out from the SNP, I'm sure, what they think

of all that. We've got Kate Howie here with us, of course, from the House of Lords to give us her

view on what that actually will mean for the union, what it will mean for Prime Minister's

questions, which comes up later on today, Rishie Sunak, of course, versus Sarkir Starmer.
