In the year 2008 in British Columbia, Canada, a man named Alan Sean Bourne and the woman who bore his children,

were forced to come to the legal agreement stating that, due to their inability to be near one another without some sort of altercation, they could spend scheduled time alone with their children, but never with the other one present.

The agreement was created to protect everyone involved, but on April 6th of that same year, a shocking discovery would prove that the decision was for not.

After a telephone conversation in which their mother told their father that she was not interested in rekindling their relationship,

10-year-old Caitlin, 8-year-old Max, and 5-year-old Corden, became the victims of a deeply hurt, rejected, and angry man,

a man who they loved and trusted completely, their own father.

During his own later testimony, Alan Sean Bourne admitted that,

after that devastating phone call, he picked up a cleaver

and charged at his sleeping daughter. After slashing and hacking her to death, he then turned

his attention towards his two sons, suffocated them until they took their final small breaths.

He claimed that he separated each child to avoid interruption,

and took a 15-minute break and smoked a cigarette between killing his daughter and moving on to the boys.
