0:25.6	the issue of not only transgenderism but how that issue affects female sports. We've had
0:32.7	discussions surrounding weightlifting, swimming, surfing now and today we're going to have a
0:38.9	discussion about a female skateboarder who has decided to come to the forefront of this discussion,
0:44.4	stand up and say something about it. Her name is Taylor Silverman and she competed last year
0:49.2	in a Red Bull skating competition and lost to a transgender skateboarder. Now a lot of people will
0:56.4	say well this person identifies as a woman they should be able to compete on the female team
1:01.9	in whatever sport they like to be involved in but we have to have discussions about this distinct
1:07.2	and clear biological advantage that is represented when a biological man competes against
1:13.2	biological women. Now does that make this discussion inherently transphobic or does that make
1:18.8	a skateboarder like Taylor Silverman transphobic for standing up for herself and saying hey I feel
1:24.6	as though I placed second in this competition unfairly and that in fact I was robbed of something
1:30.9	by competing against a biological male. These are the questions we need to ask ourselves and luckily
1:36.3	on today's show I have the pleasure of having Taylor Silverman on to talk about exactly that. Taylor
