Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, here on the hump day edition of the yard. Last show in Stargville for this week. We got some momentum in this coaching search.

We'll talk a little bit about that later in the show.

But, yeah, I'll post it an update this morning, I think very positive about the search.

One of the things that I want to say before we even get too deep into the show, the first thing I'll tell you, Zach Selman has been very good to Steve Robertson. He really has. He has been very accommodating to me. He is a guy that when I reach out, I need direction on something or need a question answered. He has always had time for me. If he has been busy, he will text and say, hey, I'm kind of hemmed up for a bit.

I'll get back with you. He always does. I have never, ever inquired with Zach Selman and not

had the opportunity to speak with him or get a responsive text. Never, ever. I understand that he

has some detractors out there. I do. I don't always know what that's rooted in, but I don't know your experiences with him,

but I can tell you all of my experiences with him have been very positive.

Every one of them. It's true.

And listen, we've had to talk some times about some difficult topics.

And I've never felt that he was dismissive of me.

I've always felt that he was dismissive of me.

I've always felt that he was a great listener, that he paid attention to what I had to say.

Even if he didn't agree, he always heard me out.

And I say that because what I'm about to tell you is, I think, very important.

And I'll have more to say later. But if what I am told is true about some

conversations that Zach Selman had yesterday in relation to this baseball coaching search,

if those things are true, then I have never been prouder to call that man, my athletic director.

And you say, but Steve, don't be cryptic, just tell us, no, we got to wait it out.

The process isn't over yet.

But many of you worried, perhaps unnecessarily, about how would Zach Helmunt Selman handle a baseball hire?
