The good news is, as I told you yesterday, and I've had loads of letters about it, actually.

I got my winter heating allowance, which I don't, you're supposed to get it over the age of, was it 60 or 66?

Well, I don't remember getting it last year because I would have remembered thinking, oh, hello, unless it was less than 500.

They upped it to 500 this year.

But some man's written to me, so I answered that on the program yesterday.

Well, earlier.

And what else has happened? Nothing really. Nothing. I'm sorting out my pension today, so I should hear by the end of this week when the money is due to come in, because you know that I had these two

private pensions, apart from the pittance that I get from the government. I can't even... Put it's way, if I didn't have a job, I certainly wouldn't be living on this pension. It's a piddling amount of money, so I don't know

how other people manage it. And loads of foods have gone up. Do you know what I paid for a tub of

lirpac? I know, fool to myself, I shouldn't have bought the bloody stuff. Five pound. For a tub in... In fact, they only seem to do the large tubs now.

I haven't seen the smaller ones.

I've noticed that rip-off.

This was in Marks and Spencers.

But I did go to...

Where did I go to?

Waitrose.

Because I wanted...
