Well, I've spent 50 years looking at the world and I've come to many conclusions and one of them is there is no charity like American charity and I want to talk to you about a special one of those today.

Hi everybody, I'm Bill Whittle here with Steve Green and Scott.

Guys, back when I was a just a little wee wisp of a lad, starting at the Miami Planetarium, when I was 13 years old. I had a chance to meet, I think,

probably the most influential person in my life. His name was Phil. I'm not going to give his last

name. We married a lovely woman named Bobby. They're my two favorite people in the world,

aside from my wife, and they're the two best people I know. They live in North Carolina.

During the flooding a couple years ago, when there was not only a horrible catastrophe, but an extraordinarily slow

response, federal response to this,

they discovered an organization that they've gone on to lead open a chapter of. And this organization is called Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

And the website is SHPBeds.org.

So what this charity is doing is it solving a problem I didn't even know that we had. As it turns out, in the United States, there are millions of kids that don't have their own beds. They don't have a place.

They sleep on the floor. They sleep on the floor because that's all their parents can afford.

The motto of this organization is no kids sleeps on the floor in our town. And let me tell you

why I want to bring this particular charity to your attention. Like all charities,

they're certainly happy to take your money and you can pledge a bed for specific individuals,

a specific build. But the thing that I think appeals to many people out there is this. What they're

really looking for is they're looking for volunteers because they build a mass

design bed. They've got partners with, I think it's Lowe's and other major partners and

and cert, I think. And so they will do the equivalent of an Amish barn raising and I'll just

show you some video here, but be sure to check this video out because there's testimonials

here that really help as well. But they'll put together, you know, 30, 40 people out there in an afternoon.

They'll build a, you know, 100 beds, maybe something like that, personally deliver them to people in need.
