Ray Bradbury is one of my favorite science fiction writers and teller of tales,

and there would be a lot more Ray Bradbury short stories here at 1001 if it weren't for the fact that we're waiting for most of them to enter the public domain.

We did A Sound of Thunder a few years ago and it still gets a lot of listens today as newcomers enjoy our archives.

There has been a lot of talk lately about putting people on Mars, but take note that Ray Bradbury

has already put people there.

In today's story, a group of little old ladies pay a hefty price

for a trip to Mars and the Thirtiel Restorium, from which they will journey to see him. You know,

the big guy who runs things here and up there. I find the story hilarious,

highly creative, and thoroughly enjoyable. A Bradbury gem. I hope you enjoy it as well.
