This is baseball tonight, podcast for Tuesday, December 7, 2021 and today will be better than

yesterday producing from his home studio in the foothills of Connecticut, his Taylor

Schwenk, a buster only working for my home in New York.

Today is the birthday of my late great mom who was born the day the Pearl Harbor was attacked

in 1941 in Taylor.

My mom was not a sports fan, but she would absolutely appreciate how we are going to go after

Tim Kerch in today and what could be a really fun day for him.

I can't even imagine the wave of emotions.

Tim Kerch has been riding along with and I'm sure she would have absolutely loved, you know,

she obviously fostered your love of baseball, even though not being a huge baseball fan

in your career as well.

So I'm sure she'd be absolutely tickled by Tim's fascinating story and his rise to maybe

a place in the hall of fame.

I mean, how exciting is that?

Well and she really loves stories about really great people and Tim is a great person.

And so today we're taping in the 9 o'clock AM hour and the announcement of the baseball

writers election for the spink award given to a baseball writer annually is imminent.

And I know Tim well enough to know that he won't want to talk about it.

But of course we're going to talk about it.

I think we brought him on it with false pretenses.
