Summary

For months, she was the only one in her building who treated the homeless veteran outside with kindness—bringing him home-cooked meals, listening to his stories, and offering a sliver of dignity in a life clouded by addiction. When he died suddenly in the lobby bathroom, she thought the bond they shared had ended. But soon after, strange things began happening—stall doors rattling, toilets flushing on their own, cupboard doors slamming, and lights flickering in direct response to her questions. Convinced it’s him, she feels his presence lingering… but now, she wonders if she can help him find peace and, perhaps, a way home.
