to be worthy of God, but it may not mean what you think it sounds

Lord Jesus, we are thankful that you have given us everything we need to understand the

scripture through the power of your Holy Spirit who indwells us. So we ask you right now to open our hearts and

open our minds and give us insight in ways that we didn't have before so that we understand

what you're saying to us personally specifically.

We're going to look at first Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 11 and 12 now this is a letter

that the apostle Paul one of the primary writers of the new testament wrote to a group of people who lived in a city called Thessalonika, thus the name, First Thessalonians.

Now he's writing to them to tell them what it's like to be a Christian. He's instructing them.

This is how your life should look. So that's where we pick up in 1st Thessalonians 2, 11 and 12.
