trustworthiness of Scripture. Pilot now in chapter 19, verses 1 to 3, takes Jesus and he

scourges him. The scourge was like a whip with metal tips.

So you're not just creating whelps on the back.

You're lifting out pieces of the back.

He orders Jesus to be scourged because he wants to get sympathy from the crowd

that he's not ignoring their bringing Jesus to him

for Roman justice since they had limitations,

not knowing that they were fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah 50,
