Well, well, well, my friends, do I have an incredible fable for you today?

Now, this applies, especially today in a world of self-appointed experts, of online crowds, of people who will tell you that they've got all of the answers to something.

You might not be so sure.

This fable is called The Fox and the Monkey and I love it.

This is going to apply to so much in your life today when you pay attention

and practice discernment. A monkey once danced in an assembly of the beasts and so pleased them

all by his performance that they elected him their king. So the monkey becomes king. A fox, envying him the honor, discovered a piece

of meat lying in a trap and leading the monkey to the place where it was said that she had found

a store and had not used it but had kept it for him as a treasure trove of his kingdom, and counseled him

to lay hold of it. The monkey approached carelessly and was caught in the trap. And on his

accusing, the fox of purposefully leading him into the snare, she replied, oh monkey, any you with such a mind as

yours going to be king over the beasts. My friends, a monkey may be performing and impressive and is

elected king in the eyes of society, on the eyes of a group.

And then with one test is trapped.

What does this mean?

Position, a title is nothing.

Without character, without wisdom, without integrity. Someone can be nabbed something

momentarily, including you. But does it mean anything at all if the second something comes along

and tests you, you falter? There's a book written by Robin Sharma years ago called The Leader with No Title. And my husband and I love it because

this is really the crux of it. A leader isn't a leader because someone gives them that title. I mean,
